We are alarmed by how many Americans lack a true understanding of Iran and are now criticizing President Trump, claiming he bombed a sovereign nation without provocation — even calling it unconstitutional. This view is both uninformed and unfair. Here are the facts. Recent headlines report: “President Donald Trump's approval rating has largely held steady in recent weeks, though a pair of polls released following his decision to bomb multiple nuclear sites in Iran offer initial glimpses into how the conflict could be affecting Americans' opinions of his job performance.” According to a Quinnipiac University poll released on June 26, President Trump holds a 41% approval rating, with 54% disapproval — numbers that are not significantly different from earlier in the month. However, these polls reflect public opinion shaped by incomplete information. Let us consider three critical points: 1. President Trump Knows Iran Better Than His Critics Fifty years ago, a young Donald Trump traveled to Iran on an investment mission, after his late father met the Shah of Iran. This visit gave him valuable firsthand knowledge of the country. But the mission failed — not because of Trump's lack of vision, but because of the deep corruption of the Pahlavi regime. At the time, Iran’s entertainment industry was monopolized by the Shah’s twin sister, known more for scandal than governance. The Shah himself was infamous for taking commissions on oil and arms deals, and for selling large portions of his inherited land in the Caspian region — a territory roughly the size of Lebanon. 2. Iran’s Constitution Declares War on the United States Many of those criticizing President Trump have never read the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This document is not a peaceful charter — it is a revolutionary manifesto, openly hostile to the United States. No American president before Trump took this reality seriously. His decision to strike was not only strategic — it was justified under both international law and the right to self-defense. 3. Strategic Strikes Prevent Greater Catastrophes Critics forget how firefighters fight wildfires: when a blaze is threatening a city, they often start a controlled burn to stop it. Likewise, President Trump’s strikes were a deliberate, preventive act — to halt a far greater danger. Let us remember: it was President Trump who clearly saw the destructive fire brewing between the Iranian regime and Israel — and intervened with precision and vision. That alone deserves international recognition, perhaps even the Nobel Peace Prize. His actions are comparable to the atomic bombing of Hiroshima — not in destruction, but in outcome. The difference? President Trump immediately controlled the aftermath and extended a hand for peace. He opened a historic window for negotiation — one that could lead to a permanent resolution of Iran’s nuclear threat and lasting stability in the Middle East. big beautiful bill ? build back better? PRAY NOT THE SAME
I did not know a young Trump visited the Shah. It doesn't surprise me Trump disliked him. I hope Trump will not facilitate the return of the "crown prince". Iran needs regime change, but it must be a great Awakening from within by the people of Iran like the one we Americans are praying for for ourselves. MIGA. Not a coup caused by external forces.
